General and Missionary Intentions for December, 2013

The Community Christian Choir presents God's Love--Royalty in a Manger, on Friday December 13, at 7:30 PM at St. James R.C. Church in Pennington. Concerts are free; no tickets required. The Spirit of St. Francis Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order will gather in St. Anthony Church at 9:15 AM on Sunday, December 15, for recitation of the Crown Rosary. They will attend the 10:00 AM Mass, then hold their meeting in the church hall directly after Mass.

Our parish relies very much on the annual Christmas Collection to meet its financial obligations. Your generosity in this annual appeal is very much appreciated.

This year, the celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady is transferred to Monday, December 9, since the Second Sunday of Advent takes precedence. However, it is not a holy day of obligation. For details on Mass times, click the article title.

Due to an early deadline, the amount of the November 24 collection will be reported next week.

If you ordered candy or a wreath, please remember to pick up your purchase(s) on Saturday, December 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM or Sunday, December 8 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Candy, and wreaths specified for pickup at OLS should be picked up from the church meeting room at Our Lady of Sorrows. Wreaths specified for pickup at St. Anthony will be available at St. Anthony church.
