Very often, parishioners and visitors, with the best of intentions, bring to church outdated religious magazines, broken rosaries and statues, old "holy cards," and a plethora of various mailings they receive from mission organizations. They place them at the church doors, where they only serve to clutter the church and make additional work for our maintenance team. On Friday, April 29, our parish hosted an evening of recollection for married couples. I have no doubt that those who did participate found the evening's activities both enjoyable and beneficial for their vocation. The team and I were disappointed in the attendance.
