The Food Pantry Partnership will happily accept all types of nonperishable food and can always use pantry staples as well as basic cleaning supplies. This month’s most needed items are stuffing mix, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, and canned sweet potatoes.

The St. Gregory the Great Craft and Vendor Fair will be held on Saturday, November 10, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Admission will be $3 for anyone 10 years old or older. Come out for quality crafts, delicious food, and more.

Through your generosity, the Annual Catholic Appeal funds the hands to help others, the feet to hasten to the poor and needy, the eyes to see misery and want, and the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. This Friday, October 19, the Mount Carmel Guild will hold its annual gala and our own Deacon Jeff has been singled out for special honors. The Guild has chosen well—Deacon Jeff, in addition to his parish ministry, has long served as chaplain at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton, and currently volunteers at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. At all Masses during the next two weekends (October 20-21 & 27-28), we shall be recording attendance. These statistics are mandated by the Diocese and are useful for diocesan and parish planning.

This week's Thought-Full Thursday presentation on "Abortion: Just the Facts, Ma'am" has been cancelled. Predicted torrential rain and flooding will keep our presenter away...but working with the Respect Life Group, we hope to reschedule this presentation, possibly in December. Stay tuned.

The dialogue on abortion can get highly emotional, and people stop listening. This presentation will give you the facts about abortion, both scientific facts about life and the development of the child in the womb, and historical facts about abortion and Roe v. Wade. Join us on October 11, at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall at Our Lady of Sorrows, when Marie Tasy of New Jersey Right to Life will present Abortion: Just the Facts, Ma’am.
