Scholarships are open to anyone who is actively participating in the religious education ministry in the Diocese of Trenton and are awarded for coursework in Theology, Pastoral / Religious / Liturgical / Catechetical studies at a recognized Roman Catholic institution of higher learning. This year, the penitential season of Lent begins on March 6. Please bring in all old palms to be burned and used for ashes on Ash Wednesday. Beginning next week, there will be containers at all the exit doors on the weekends to hold the palms.

The NJ Conference of Catholic Bishops has approved a postcard campaign designed to ask our State Senators and Assembly Members to support legislation that would ban abortions after 20 weeks (5 months). The United States is one of only 7 countries in the world including China, North Korea, and Vietnam that allow elective abortion past 20-weeks. Our parish will participate in this campaign next weekend (February 16-17) Pre-printed postcards will be in the pews. We are asking parishioners to enter their address and signature. The parish will forward them to our legislators.

The OLS 8th Grade will be selling baked goods following the evening masses on Saturday, February 9, and following all morning masses on Sunday, February 10, in the lower church hall of both churches, Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Anthony’s.
