The Diocese of Trenton Jail & Prison Ministry is in great need of volunteers to visit our incarcerated brothers and sisters, to remind them of God’s great love and mercy for them. Our volunteers conduct Communion Services, Bible Studies and Prayer Services, as well as offering the gift of Listening and Pastoral Presence. The Diocesan Chrism Mass will be celebrated by His Excellency, The Most Reverend David M. O’Connell, on Monday, April 15, at 7:30 pm, at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold. At this special Mass, the priests of the diocese will renew the promises made at their ordination, and the holy oils used for the sacraments are consecrated by the bishop. We are pleased to inform that permanent Poor Boxes have been installed at the doors of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. As permanent fixtures, the new poor boxes, marked “offering” will serve as a continual reminder of our duty to assist the needy. We remind all our parishioners to be generous and to make an offering as they enter or leave the church.
