Many thanks to all who generously contributed to the Easter Collection. We are pleased to announce that the total of this appeal amounted to:$66,687. This was $15,064 more than last year’s appeal (an increase of 29.18%) when public Masses were not celebrated due to the pandemic. This year, the Solemnity of the Lord’s Ascension will be observed on Sunday, May 16 rather than the traditional Thursday. Thus this Thursday, May 13, is not a holy day of obligation this year. We shall celebrate the Ascension on the following Sunday.

Today, May 9, begins “Police Week.” President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the calendar week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week. Please remember in prayer not only those peace officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, but also those who strive daily to protect and serve us with patience, understanding, courage, compassion, and safety.

Our Lenten Work of Love realized a total of $11,000 for the building of the new Mary Immaculate School in Haiti. Thanks to all who generously contributed to this appeal—extraordinary results in a time of pandemic!
