Our parish takes great pride in the recognition being accorded this Saturday, October 24 to Mrs. Mariyam Francis, our Director of Religious Education. Mrs. Francis will receive the Mt. Carmel Guild’s “Guild Neighbor Award” for her work to support its annual Thanksgiving Drive. We are proud of you, Mariyam!

Our Parish Cohort Mission under the direction of Fr. Bill Garrott, O.P. was truly inspiring, drawing so many ever closer to the Lord through his powerful words and music. Our heartfelt thanks to Fr. During the this weekend and next, (October 18-19 & 25-26) our Ushers will be taking “attendance” at all Masses as part of our annual “October Count.” These figures will be sent to the diocesan Office of Pastoral Planning. We trust that the counting will not be too much of a distraction to your prayer.

The parish Respect Life team invites you to join us in prayer for life, every Thursday in October, at noon, in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Each week we will pray a different set of prayers, for life and for healing. Click here for more information.

The Cohort Mission Planning Team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered to help at the mission: parking assistants, greeters, ushers, sales, and reception hospitality! We would also like to thank all of those who so generously supplied food for the reception--we had more than enough, thanks to your generosity!

This Thursday, October 16, a number of our students will travel to the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold, for the annual Catholic Schools Mass, celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop. This event brings together students, faculty, principals, and pastors to worship with Bishop O’Connell. His message is always so positive and affirming and helps to us realize the importance of a Catholic School education.

Let us keep our Deacons in prayer as they attend their annual convocation this weekend (October 17-19) in Princeton. May it be a time of fraternity, prayer, and continuing formation. Let us also thank Deacons Kevin, Salvatore, Joseph, and Nelson for their ministry which they carry out so well. We thank too, their good wives who are such a great support in their work.

The Lumen Christi Cohort invites all current and retired persons who work or worked in the healthcare professions--physicians, nurses, technicians, chaplains, etc.--to participate in a special White Mass celebration on October 19, at 11:30 AM at St. Raphael's church in Hamilton. Friends and supporters are also welcome!

The Rosary Altar Society invites you to a morning of recollection, on Saturday October 18. The day begins with "Fr. Stas" (Fr. Stanley Lukaszewski) celebrating our 9:00 AM Mass. The ladies will then proceed to Holy Family Hall for the remainder of the program. Click here for more information.
