St. Gregory the Great parish is offering a morning retreat on Saturday, March 22 from 8:30 to 1:30 in the Church. Click here for details.

The Solemnity of St. Joseph is celebrated on Wednesday, March 19. In addition to the regular morning masses, a Solemn Mass will be offered at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The traditional blessing of the Saint Joseph Table will follow in the hall.

Among the seven sacraments, the Anointing of the Sick is especially intended to strengthen those who are ill. While the Sacrament serves to comfort the dying, it is not only for those at the point of death. It is also intended to help the chronically ill and the elderly who are in a weakened condition. Children who are seriously ill or facing major surgery can be anointed. The sacrament can be administered more than once even during the same illness if a person’s condition becomes more serious. Don't wait until your loved one is on the point of death. Give them the gift of this strengthening sacrament!

On Monday, February 3, the Memorial of St. Blaise, the blessing of throats will follow the 7:00 & 9:00 Masses at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.

Our own St. Anthony Church has been designated as a Diocesan Pilgrimage Church. As such, there will be events over the course of this year that involve our church as a source for special prayer and indulgences.

For February--the sick and homebound. The sufferings of the sick, at home or in the hospital…can be allayed by the closeness and affection of those who visit them, and those who care for them. WE must be grateful for their care and concern for the sick and the most vulnerable. Please keep the sick, the homebound, and healthcare workers in your prayers.

Inauguration Day falls on the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., advocate for social justice, assassinated in 1968 at the age of thirty nine. His preaching and peaceful activism helped our nation turn away from racism and violence. As we honor his witness, let us pray that within our nation and throughout the world, every division may be removed, and that justice, equality and peace may flourish.

Corporate Sunday is December 1 at the 8:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows. All parishioners are invited to join us after Mass when we pray the rosary. The monthly meeting is Dec 2 at 7:00 in OLS Church Meeting Room. We will be having an Advent Service prior to the business meeting.
