Beginning on January 24, the parish Catholic Book Club began reading "Hail, Holy Queen" by Scott Hahn, in which he shows us the scriptural and historical foundations of the Church's Marian doctrines, in an accessible and entertaining style that is easy to read. If you ordered one or more wreaths from the Rosary Altar Society, please remember to pick them up after one of the Saturday evening or Sunday morning masses next weekend (December 8-9) at the pick-up site you specified on your order form. The wreaths will be in the OLS Church Meeting Room and the St. Anthony Church Hall. (The wreaths also will be available for pickup at OLS only between 11 AM and 1 PM next Friday, December 7.)

The Rosary Altar Society is holding its Annual Christmas Wreath Sale, which proceeds benefit OLS School. The 12″ balsam wreath is decorated with pine cones and red decorative balls and a ribbon. Wreaths are available with or without a stand. The former makes a suitable adornment for the cemetery while the latter is ideal for decorating a door, window, or porch. The month of October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. The liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7. For anyone in need, Rosary beads and prayer pamphlets will be available at Our Lady’s Shrine at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and at the side altar of the Blessed Mother at St. Anthony Church throughout the month. Pre-ordered crosses will be available for pickup on March 17 and 18 after all masses at both churches at the location selected on the order form. On Friday, March 16, those who identified OLS as their pickup location will be able to pick up their palm crosses from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

All women of the parish are graciously invited to join the Rosary Altar Society. There will be a membership drive at OLS on March 11. We encourage you to visit us at "Welcome Sunday", and join us on this spiritual journey through life with the Blessed Mother.
