The IV World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly will be celebrated on Sunday, 28 July 2024. The theme chosen by the Holy Father – “Do not cast me off in my old age” (cf. Psalm 71:9) – is meant to call attention to the fact that, sadly, loneliness is the bitter lot in life of many elderly persons, so often the victims of the throw-away culture. The Diocese of Trenton Office of Pastoral Life & Mission is hosting a full-day retreat at San Alfonso Retreat Center on Wednesday, May 1, for anyone caring for family members or volunteers in caring ministries (visiting the sick and homebound, bereavement support, addiction and recovery ministry, other support groups or forms of spiritual accompaniment). Mount Carmel Guild is accepting applications from qualified candidates in Mercer County to fill the position of Registered Nurse: Home Health Nursing. This is a part-time position with 7-14 hours per week. Click here for more information.
