Monday, August 15 is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven. As this Solemnity of Our Lady falls on a Monday this year, the obligation to attend Mass is abrogated, i.e., there is no obligation to assist at Mass. Everyone is, however, encouraged to join us in celebrating this ancient feast at our usual 7 and 9 AM Masses.
