Each year parishes in the Diocese of Trenton are invited to become more conscious of and involved in the Mission Activity of the Catholic Church throughout the world. Sister Lisa Marie Valentini, of the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, will visit Our Lady of Sorrows – St. Anthony next weekend to tell us about the Mission work done by the Sisters in her Congregation.

The Holy Name Society will meet on Friday, April 19, at Noon in the Church Library. All men of the parish are welcome and will be warmly received.

As of Monday, April 8, 237 generous OLS-SA parishioners have given gifts or made pledges to this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal and paid $43,113 of that amount. Since our parish goal is $100,000, that means that, so far, 55% ($54,773) of the goal has been gifted or pledged and 43% has been paid.

Next weekend, April 20 - 21, our First Communicants will share bread with our parishioners. If you receive a loaf of bread, please pray for the child who shares the bread with you.

This month's meeting of the CARE Program will be on Wednesday, April 24, at 7:00 PM in the Church Meeting Room. We will be discussing contemporary Catholic teaching on the Eucharist.

Since Confirmation is not conferred during the celebration of Mass, the 11 AM Mass last Sunday was an opportunity for our parish to honor our Confirmandi.

The Music of Ola Gjelo, featuring the Sunrise Mass, with be performed by the combines choirs of the Diocesan Festival Choir and the Red Bank Oratory, with the Orchestra of St. Cecilia under the direction of Mr. Shawn Mack, on Sunday, April 21 at 3:30 PM. Click here for more information.

The Diocese of Trenton Office of Pastoral Life & Mission is hosting a full-day retreat at San Alfonso Retreat Center on Wednesday, May 1, for anyone caring for family members or volunteers in caring ministries (visiting the sick and homebound, bereavement support, addiction and recovery ministry, other support groups or forms of spiritual accompaniment).
