Valerie is one of 26 teens recognized by the Diocese of Trenton this year for their exemplary involvement in the life of their parish. The St. Timothy Award—named for the young disciple and companion of St. Paul—recognizes young people who live out their faith by their humility, leadership, ministry, service, and holiness. Valerie serves at Mass and has been very active in OLS-SA’s youth group, encouraging teens from the parish’s Haitian Community to participate in the group’s activities.

Taught by volunteer Guy D’Ippolito, an English as a Second Language (ESL) class is held at Our Lady of Sorrows at 6:00 pm on Thursdays October through June. This year's mission is the Lumen Christi Cohort Mission 2019, and will be hosted at St. Raphael Church. Our parish will be hosting the second night, which means we will be providing the greeters, ushers, book sale staff, and child care, and we need your help to do this! The Parish Respect Life Committee wishes to thank all those who participated in the campaign to ban late term abortion in New Jersey. A total of 725 post card sets were signed. These will be addressed and delivered to our legislators. Anyone who missed the opportunity last week but wants to send a postcard can sign up at the parish office.
