Psalm 71:9) – is meant to call attention to the fact that, sadly, loneliness is the bitter lot in life of many elderly persons, so often the victims of the throw-away culture. Our Lady of Sorrows - St. Anthony parish will be hosting the Loaves and Fishes meals on Saturday, June 29, and we really need volunteers to serve at the Cathedral! The Diocese of Trenton Office of Pastoral Life & Mission is hosting a full-day retreat at San Alfonso Retreat Center on Wednesday, May 1, for anyone caring for family members or volunteers in caring ministries (visiting the sick and homebound, bereavement support, addiction and recovery ministry, other support groups or forms of spiritual accompaniment). This year's Lenten Work of Charity is to help rebuild the residence for the priests and seminarians of the Institute Voluntas Dei, which was destroyed by widespread looting. All poor box donations during Lent will be dedicated to the Work of Love.
