The Supreme Court has announced it will hear the case Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health. The case will pose a fundamental question to the court that challenges aspects of Roe v. March for Life’s Annual Rose Dinner Gala—a pro-life event benefiting the March for Life Education and Defense Fund—is going virtual! The event will take place online at 7 pm on Friday, January 29. The program will feature a variety of pro-life voices and organizations working to build a culture of life. Among them will be Tim Tebow,a two-time national champion, first-round NFL draft pick, and Heisman Trophy winner; Fr, Mike Schmitz, and Carl Anderson.

Because of language that would promote abortion, the U.S. Mission to the United Nations has rejected an UN agreement on humanitarian assistance for emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement released last night, the U.S. Mission to the UN said, “We emphasize that health care should focus on health promotion and prevention, consistent with national legislation and policies.” The US objects to the terms "sexual and reproductive health care services" and "sexual and reproductive health" as code words for abortion.

The New York Times recently criticized pro-life politicians who are taking steps to save lives during the coronavirus outbreak. The newspaper editorial board did not have a problem with states’ bans on most non-essential medical procedures—just those that include abortion, a life-destroying practice that puts both mothers and unborn babies at risk, potentially requiring medical resources better used in saving lives threatened by COVID-19. Planned Parenthood has publicly stated that their clinics will remain open during the COVID-19 crisis: “It is important that patients do not postpone necessary health care, especially abortion services.” But pregnancy is almost never life-threatening, and in those rare cases when it may be a threat to life, abortion is too slow a solution. So it is never medically necessary for a woman to have an abortion, and abortion can, in fact, seriously harm the woman (not to mention the child). Continuing to perform abortions takes medical resources away from people who truly have life-threatening illnesses.
