Planned Parenthood - NOT an Essential Service

Planned Parenthood has publicly stated that their clinics will remain open during the COVID-19 crisis: “It is important that patients do not postpone necessary health care, especially abortion services.” Planned Parenthood said they anticipate “an increased demand for services”. Aid for Women’s pregnancy care centers and residential programs also remain open so that we may continue to serve at-risk women on the front line of the abortion battle in the Chicago metropolitan area.

[But pregnancy is almost  never life-threatening, and in those rare cases when it may be a threat to life, abortion is too slow a solution. So it is never medically necessary for a woman to have an abortion, and abortion can, in fact, seriously harm the woman (not to mention the child). Continuing to perform abortions takes medical resources away from people who truly have life-threatening illnesses, for the convenience of those who do not.]

She had an appointment at Planned Parenthood…

"This morning, a young woman named Alicia walked into our Flossmoor location. She had mistaken our center for the Planned Parenthood clinic next door, a situation that occurs several times each week.

After realizing her mistake, she agreed to stay and talk with a Client Advocate because she had some time before her abortion appointment. Alicia shared that she was feeling overwhelmed and alone in her pregnancy because of an abusive relationship with her boyfriend and worries of not having a job as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. Alicia spoke with her Client Advocate for an hour and then left for her abortion appointment.

Upon follow-up from her Client Advocate this afternoon, Alicia said that she had not gone through with the abortion. We know that she is still very vulnerable, but through God’s holy intervention — Life won today for Alicia and her baby!"
