The Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered for children in Grades K–4 at the 11:00 am Mass on some Sundays of the school year. It is an opportunity for children to hear the Word of God in age-appropriate language, from the Lectionary for Masses with Children, and to reflect on its meaning for their own lives in an interactive format. In addition, children are invited to participate in song, prayer, and profession of faith as appropriate to the Liturgy of the Word.
After the Opening Prayer of the Mass, those children who would like to attend this special liturgy are invited to come forward and to process with the prayer leader to the Lower Church. They return to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist with their families.
Prayer leaders are Joan Bellis, Anne Kantor (coordinator), and Marianne Peluso.
This year (2025-26), the Children's Liturgy of the Word will begin on Sunday, September 28, at the 11:00 AM Mass. If you have any questions or would like to help, please call Anne at 609-586-6596 or send her an email at [email protected].
