The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents' Day. The office will re-open the following day at the usual time.
Ash Wednesday, February 18, is a day of fast and abstinence. Ashes will be distributed at all the Masses that day. Click here for the Mass schedule for Ash Wednesday.
Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday during Lent (except for Good Friday), at 7:00 PM. They will be held in English at Our Lady of Sorrows, and in Creole at St. Anthony Church.
Candidates to be confirmed on March 28 will make a retreat in preparation for the reception of the sacrament on Saturday, February 21, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM in Holy Family Hall at Our Lady of Sorrows.
The Diocesan Office of Development has informed us that since we exceeded our goal of $95,000 in the 2025 Annual Catholic Appeal we shall be receiving a rebate in the amount of $4,937.76. Thanks to all who generously contributed to the appeal last year.

The Lumen Christi Cohort (OLS-SA, St. Gregory the Great, and St. Raphael-Holy Angels) is sponsoring an exhibit on the Shroud of Turin, including a full-sized replica of the shroud, display panels on the history and scientific investigations of the Shroud, and a statue of Jesus based on the three-dimensional data contained in the shroud image. The Rosary Altar Society is conducting its Annual Palm Cross Sale, the proceeds of which benefit Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish. The cross is approximately 12” x 20” and made of looped palms on a wooden cross and mounted on a stake which makes a suitable adornment for the cemetary or garden. Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18. We will be collecting blessed palms through February 15, to be burned for use on Ash Wednesday. Containers will be at the doors of both churches. Please bring loose palms only, no plastic bags, paper bags, rubber bands, plastic ties, or clips. Thank you!
