80th Annual Solemn Saint Jude Novena

The annual Solemn Novena in Honor of Saint Jude will be held from October 20 -28 at St Michael Church (1106 Brunswick Ave, Trenton). This will be the 80 ^th year that the Novena has been held at Saint Michael’s.

Novena Services will be held weekdays and Saturday at 8 am (following Mass) and at 6 pm. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be a part of the 6 pm service. On Sunday the Novena will be a part of the 8:45 am Mass only.

Join us for breakfast on Sunday, October 27 at 10 am at Leonardo’s II Restaurant (2021 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville). The cost is $15/person . Tickets are available after Mass at Saint Michael Church and at the Church of Saint Ann Welcome Desk.

For the past eighty years the Novena has provided a special time of grace and blessing for people in the greater Trenton Area. This long time tradition gives an opportunity each year for people to change pace a bit and place their cares and concerns before the Lord through the intercession of Saint Jude.

The Novena was begun at Saint Michael’s Church by Fr. Ladislas Rakvica on October 20, 1939 in thanksgiving for his own recovery from a near fatal illness. Since that time, extraordinary graces, spiritual, and material favors, have been received by the clients of Saint Jude; many letters of thanksgiving are received each year.
