Expectant Mothers Blessing

"Most blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb."

Over the past few years, it has been the custom of our parish to bless expectant mothers on the Sunday closest to the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It seems altogether appropriate to impart this blessing since the image of the Blessed Virgin is one in which she appears bearing a Child in her womb—our Lord and Savior.

A special blessing will be given to all expectant mothers in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday, December 11. This blessing will take place at the 9:30 AM Mass in English as well as the 12:30 PM Creole Mass at St Anthony, and the 11:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows.

May Our Lady intercede for those mothers who are with child for a safe delivery.

If you are expecting and would like to receive this special blessing, please call the parish office (609-587-4372) by noon on Dec. 9, and leave your name. Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before Mass on Dec. 11 and tell the deacon you’re there for this special blessing.
