Pizza with the Pastor

In past years, Confirmation Candidates and their parents had to come for a personal Confirmation Interview with a priest, deacon, or catechist. It was an opportunity to have a dialog about our Faith and how it is lived as a confirmed Catholic. The interview was suspended during the pandemic in favor of a written project.

This year, the interview and written project were replaced with a special event— Pizza with the Pastor! A fun and Faith-filled evening of lively conversation with Msgr. Gervasio was held at Villa Maria Restaurant.
The Confirmation Candidates each prepared two questions for Monsignor. The questions were divided into personal, confirmation theology, and spirituality. The boys and girls were respectful and attentive

Many of the candidates sent a thank you note to Monsignor, saying that their experience was wonderful. Some of them expressed that it was a lifetime experience, having a conversation with the Pastor outside the Church premises.

This was a unique way to replace the Confirmation interview, a joyful, faith-filled, and fun evening. Please continue to pray for our Candidates, that they may stay connected with the Church after their Confirmation.
