Eucharistic adoration cannot be either from the liturgical and communal celebration of the sacrament or from commitment to the poor and to justice. One draws strength from the other. We witnessed this in Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who in her life, gave Eucharistic adoration no less importance than service to the poor and who said that she found in the first the strength to attend to the second.
