I am pleased to announce that His Excellency, Bishop David O’Connell has appointed as parochial vicar of our parish,
Rev. Pierre-Louis Joseph. His appointment is effective on or about July 15, 2018.
Fr. Joseph is a native of Haiti and has been exercising his priestly ministry in the Archdiocese of Miami. He is appointed to a three-year renewable term. In addition to ordinary pastoral duties, Fr. Joseph will exercise special pastoral care for the Haitian community of our parish.
He succeeds Fr. Jean Fèlicien, who will undertake studies in Canon Law at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. His appointment is effective July 1, 2018. He will, however, remain for most of the summer and our rectory will remain his residence during recesses during his three year academic program in the nation’s capital.
We extend a great welcome to Fr. Joseph and offer our fervent best wishes to Fr. Jean as he “returns to the classroom” for these important advanced studies!
