Baby Blankets!

October is Respect Life Month, and once again, we are asking all parishioners who know how to crochet, knit, quilt, etc. to make a baby blanket for the local crisis pregnancy center. If you don't know how to make them yourself but want to contribute, you can purchase one and donate it. We will collect the baby blankets after all the Masses on the first weekend of November.

Last year, your generosity was inspiring (especially given the rather short notice we provided), as you donated over 100 baby blankets! This year, we are providing a bit more notice, as we will again collect the baby blankets at the beginning of November.

Another change this year, is that we would like to provide shawls or lap blankets for the moms! We don't want the expectant mothers to feel forgotten! If you have the time, and the inclination, you can create a baby blanket AND a shawl. If you don't have the time, a baby blanket will be plenty!

Baby blankets are small—from 28" to 36" square or rectangular. You can do this! Give these mothers the gift of knowing someone cares enough to create a soft, bright, welcoming blanket for their baby.

Note that we want NEW baby blankets, not used ones, made with love for these precious babies!
