Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts

The massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti on August 16 killed more than 2,000 people and injured many thousands; hundreds more are still missing. The shock destroyed homes, leaving thousands without shelter.

Closely following the quake, a tropical storm brought flash floods and landslides, destroying more buildings and blocking roads to communities urgently needing food, water, shelter, sanitation, medical treatment, and medicine.

Our parish has the honor of ministering to many families from Haiti. We will have a second collection next week (September 4 & 5) for our Haitian sisters and brothers desperate to survive this devastating situation.
