OLS-SA Holy Name Society
The OLS-SA Holy Name Society is for the men of our parish and we would appreciate your support. The purpose of the Holy Name Society is to give honor and glory to the sacred name of Jesus Christ, which is needed more than ever today. Special devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus originated at the Council of Lyons in 1274 and here at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony parish we carry on this tradition to promote reverence to the sacred name of Jesus Christ.
We support many charitable organizations; the primary one is Our Lady of Sorrows’ Graduation Awards Program. It is a source of great pleasure to see the smile on the face of the student receiving the award.
The regular donation for members is $15 and some give more. All the money collected goes to charity.
If we have enough interest we can alternate between afternoon and evening meetings.
Our next meeting will be on Friday, October 21, at noon in the OLS church library.
We are now making a special effort to revive this great organization after our long layoff due to the pandemic. You too can be a part of this worthy organization by donating whatever your means allow and God will reward you.
Objectives: Honor the Holy Name of Jesus and increase our Personal Sanctification and aid others in doing so.
Please fill out the form in this week's bulletin, and return it with your check in an envelope made out to the Holy Name Society. The envelope can be put in the collection basket, dropped off at the OLS Office or mailed to Our Lady of Sorrows, 3816 E State St Ext, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
