Where, oh where, is my next batch of church envelopes? If you find yourself wondering if they were delivered to the wrong address, or the mail carriers went on strike, or you did get them but can’t remember which “safe place” you put them in, there’s no need to call the parish office in a panic.
The company that mails out the regular weekly envelopes delivers them to the post office two weeks prior to the date on the last one in the mailing you last received, so normally you should have the new packet by the time you need the first envelope. If for some reason—such as a Covid-caused delay—you do not receive the new packet before using the last envelope, make a note of the envelope number (the number just below the date). Then if you haven't received the new envelopes by the next week, simply use a plain envelope for your donation and mark your name and envelope number on it.
