Please take a moment to admire the “new” stained glass additions to the church/office entrance of Our Lady of Sorrows. Inserted in the three story windows above the doors, are windows that were originally part of the Chapel of Notre Dame High School Convent, Lawrenceville. Before the convent’s demolition, we were able to obtain them at no cost! Heimer and Co. that has been undertaking the restoration of our church’s original windows, adapted them to fit the three story windows.
Interestingly, it was Heimer and Co. that designed the windows for the convent chapel built in the 1957. The windows are quite appropriate for our church since they each have a Marian subject: the marriage of Mary and Joseph, Our Lady Help of Christians, and the Nativity of Jesus.
