Our Lenten Work of Love

Almsgiving should always be a part of our Christian life, but especially during Lent. Each year, our parish has taken up a special collection throughout the season for the needy, both locally and beyond our borders. This year, we are seeking to assist the refugees of the war in the Ukraine, who are now in Poland.

More than 10 million people have fled for their lives to neighboring countries—leaving behind homes, jobs, and everything familiar. The gift placed in the containers at the doors of the church throughout Lent will be sent to the diocese in Poland where the Church is providing assistance for food, clothing, transport to shelters, and childcare. Almost 90% of the refugees are women and children. Your prayers and support will make so much difference!
