Hyde Amendment Passes

We won this one by a bare margin. The Amendment to the budget that reinstates the Hyde Amendment and others that protect religious conscience protections for medical personnel was passed by a margin of 50-49. Our own Senators voted against it. Remember this during the next elections. Our Senators have a voting history that displays a continuing disregard for life, and for religious freedom. despite being reminded over and over again that the majority of Americans, including Democrats, and including those who identify as pro-choice, do not approve of mandating taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions.
