Summer 2013 — Goals

The scope of this year's project is rather ambitious, but was found to have merit by our parish finance council. I trust every parishioner will do his or her very best to support this appeal as their means permit.

Parking Expansion at St. Anthony

The razing of the former convent/Haitian Center will provide much needed parking for our parishioners and for our friends at Newgrange School and Little Kids College. At teh same time, we shall be addressing drainage issues in the area between the former convent and the church.

Air Conditioning Our School

The installation of air conditioning units in classrooms (and perhaps the gym) is a very important step in the development (and marketing, to be quite frank) of our school. The installation of energy efficient units throughout the building will be a welcome addition for our educational environment during the academic year. It is also necessary if we want to provide programs throughout the summer. Air conditioning has been installed in many schools of our area and throughout the diocese. I should not want our parish to find itself at a disadvantage. Why should our families search out summer programs in other places if they could be offered here? The key is providing "AC!" We are now determining if the work should be done in its entirety or in stages.

Summer Project 2013 — Final Report

Many thanks to all those who so generously contributed to our 2nd annual summer project. Admittedly, our plans were ambitious, and your support helped defray the costs of these major but important projects. Below are a few figures I am sure you will find interesting.
