It is appropriate in this holy season to make sure that our customs and traditions reflect the "reason for the season." Click here to find a link to a blessing you and your family can pray as you first turn on the lights of your Christmas tree.
During Advent, you can carry the lighted Advent candle in procession at the beginning of each weekend Mass! If you are interested, please arrive at church 20 minutes before Mass starts, and speak to the assisting Deacon.
Next Sunday, December 14, will be Bambinelli Sunday, the blessing of the Baby Jesus, at all Masses. We invite you, especially our children, to bring your “Gesu Bambino” from your home nativity scene to Mass on December 14.
The month of June is singled out, in a particular way, for devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. To celebrate the Heart of Christ means to turn toward the profound center of the Person of the Savior, that center which the Bible identifies precisely as his Heart, seat of the love that has redeemed the world.

While the College of Cardinals is in Conclave to select the next Pope, we can support them by praying for the aid of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Blessed Mother, that they will be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this very important work. Click here for a link to the prayer.
The Easter Season runs from the Sunday of the Resurrection to Pentecost Sunday. The first eight days of the season form the Easter Octave and are celebrated as Solemnities. The acclamation “Alleluia! Alleluia” is added to the dismissal of the Mass. Click here for more information.
Volunteers are needed to help decorate Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Good Friday immediately after The Seven Last Words Service (approximately 7:30 pm). This is a great opportunity for our students to receive service hours. Help us adorn the Lord’s House for the celebration of His Resurrection!
In addition to the to the usual 7:00 and 9:00 am weekday Masses, we invite you to take part in these opportunities to observe the Lenten Season this week--click here for the list.

Please bring in all your palms from last year to be burned and used for ashes on Ash Wednesday. Place your palms in the containers at all church exit doors on February 22 through March 2.
