We collected over 100 items for babies during our Baby Blanket Drive in October, thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, who used their time and talent to create lovely items that will show our care for the babies whose mothers have chosen life! Feeding the hungry never ceases to be important. Food pantries always need staples such as peanut butter, jelly, cereal, soup, pasta, pasta sauce, and canned vegetables, but any non-perishables you can donate to Mt Carmel Guild or St Raphael’s Food Pantry are greatly appreciated. Just place them in the receptacles at the doors of our churches.

This Tuesday our nation salutes the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States. Our veterans who pursued the call of duty at great personal cost, are the noblest of American citizens. Shielding us from danger, preserving the peace, defending our values, they have been the face of hope in dark places and a force for good in the world. How proud we are to say, “Thanks for your service!”

The Catechism (#2239) reminds us that “the duty to vote is one of co-responsibility for society… As Catholics our consciences should be specifically informed as to the greatest moral principles, so that we may vote with them in mind."
